Housekeeping :  - Grade 8 Parents: a list of all high school open house events can be found  here -  Mr. Roberts and Ms. Grey came from AHS to help our grade 8s with course selection.  The following  link  will take you to a doc with images representing the information that was shared with the class KUDOS: to...the girls for winning the ultimate frisbee DPA game.  As well, kudos to Emily, Ava, Sky, Jordie, and Connor for running their 12 minute run.  Final kudos to all the kids who came to re-do their math tests. Housekeeping :  - Grade 8 Parents: a list of all high school open house events can be found  here -   QOTD : " English: - Egghead responses (summative task) have been returned (grade 8). - Grade 7: Read at least 30 minutes - Grade 8: Read at least 30 minutes -  Math : -  Sign the SK for the Geometry Unit -  8 Math : test tomorrow!  This will be divided into two parts: Part 1 will be the practical hands-on test where students will be asked to create a series of angles using a compass.  The second part will be the communication test.  Best way to prepare?  Look at last year's test, go over the questions in the workbook, and look at the questions in the textbook.  FINALLY: there is no "Let Statement" sheet for this test, so make sure you can identify and explain the following laws: opposite, interior, alternate, and corresponding 8 MATH: I have posted the pictures  from today's problems on the GC - 7 Math:   test tomorrow!  This will be a google for

Housekeeping :  - Grade 8 Parents: a list of all high school open house events can be found  here - Due to the size of the class and the high demand for support in math, I have made it abundantly clear to the kids that my priority for helping students starts with those who are completing their homework, doing their work in class/not bothering others, and bringing their materials to class.  There literally isn't enough time to meet one to one with everyone requiring assistance, so I will begin with those who are meeting me halfway.   Kudos to : Mehrshad, for helping out the supply teacher yesterday.  You've just earned points for your house!  Also, well done to Rosa for saying thank you to the AHS band.
