Geography:
- Grade 8: Canadian Citizenship test - some kids didn't finish it
- Grade 7 and 8: there will be a map of Canada test for our first geography class. Students need to know all provinces, territories, and capital cities. For a higher level, they have to be able to draw the provincial divisions on a blank map of Canada. Here is are a few links for you to practice:
1. link (this one tests your ability to identify the province/territory by clicking)
2. Link 2 (this one makes you type the names - excellent practice)
3. Link 3 (this is a customizable quiz)
4. Link 4: (best link ever! You can test names of provinces, capitals, territories - you can even drag the shapes into place like a puzzle!). For those who wish to tackle the level 4 test, this is the one to practice! Be warned, it's really loud so turn down your speaker.
Students were given 3 blank maps today: a max 3-, a max 3+, and a max 4+. Ask your child to show you these three maps and explain the difference in evaluation.
