Housekeeping

- Book talks are due before the break.  This is what we have done so far: hook, background, listed possible points, and learned about context.  Students should be re-reading their novels and selecting their points.  By "points", I mean they should be deciding "reasons for reading the novel"

- Grade 8 Parents: a list of all high school open house events can be found here.   **** AURORA HIGH SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE DATE CHANGE: Tonight! 6-8 p.m.

-  Sign up for the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" algebra-style contest that will take place on Friday.

- I'm still waiting for some report card envelopes to come back.  I hear some might in the recycling bin...



KUDOS: to Kyle and Sky for defeating Jordie and me in 2 v 2 volleyball.  Kudos also to Grizzlies for a commanding victory during the Context House Challenge.

English:

-  Context homework is due Thursday (don't forget to hand it in online!)

- There will be time in class for S.U.A.R. this week, so please ensure you have your novel EVERY day in class



Math:

Watch distributive property videos (watch the Math Antics and the Khan academy). We will do this lesson tomorrow

- Orange coloured-paper due tonight


- Signed SK form for unit!  

- Quiz on variables tomorrow

History:

- Grade 7 and 8 worksheet for Thursday: 7 - Plains of Abraham; grade 8: The Iron Road.  Read and respond to questions.  Do not do the Alex Mac research.  

- Grade 7 and 8 will be presenting their findings next week (grade 7: battle of the Plains of Abraham; grade 8: Obstacles in the Way)

French:

- The rest of the "wanted" posters will be presented tomorrow


Science:

- If anyone wants a re-test, have your notes ready to go for tomorrow morning recess.
