KUDOS: to Rachel, for leading our first dance class.  We all feel great from the stretching.  Thanks also to MacKenna, Kyle, and Sky for helping with jr. volleyball tryout.

English:

- There will be time in class for S.U.A.R. this week, so please ensure you have your novel EVERY day in class

- Grade 7: Read at least 30 minutes

- Grade 8: Read at least 30 minutes

- Passion Projects: On Tuesday, we will be dedicating some time for kids to present their passion projects (for those who have yet to perform their 1st pp)

- WITW test on Thursday....Greta Thurnberg is a boss...

Math:

- Grade 7 + 8: Worksheets 11-20 are due Thursday night at midnight

- 

History:

- Survey for History (follow up to "Let's Make a Country") is due Thursday.

French:

-Quiz on "-ER" verbs tomorrow!

- Join the Duolingo Classroom!  Check it out on the GC!

Science:

- Next test grade 8 is next day 1 or next day 3.  Study for science

Health/Phys-Ed:

- We are moving one step closer to our 12 minute run - we're now running for 7 minutes! Some kids are struggling with this and need to be more active outside of school.  Feel free to say the following a la 1970s style: "Mr. Le Moine said I need to kick you off the couch and get you outside until the lights come on." 

Art:

Housekeeping :  - Your child's diagnostic results came home in a SEALED envelope.  Please read it over, sign the tear-away portion, and return it to me.  If I have any serious concerns I will be contacting you to set up a quick meeting.  - Next week (Thursday) is "Meet the Creature"/"Meet the Teacher" night.  I will be in my class around 5:30 if you would like to come up and chat.  This is not time to discuss your child's individual progress (save that for the veggies aisle of No Frills!).  This evening is to go over the plans for the year, discuss how I evaluate, and ensure everyone is on the same page. - Cell phones...the lunchtime supervisor has notified me that she has seen (on many occasions) the grade 8s in my class on their phones during lunch.  This is my final warning: NO cell phones except for when we are using them for classroom purposes (which is RARE and is under my supervision).  Parents/Guardians, please have a discussion...
